About the event

Join us for an evening in the company of Vanessa de Haan as she sits down to chat with us about A Time to Live, her new novel, a sweeping historical saga which begins with a world at war in 1918.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A open to the audience and a book signing at the end.

Vanessa de Haan is an author and journalist who has written for various newspapers, magazines and podcasts. She was a columnist on the Western Morning News (writing under the name Zoë Kenyon) and has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa. She has published two historical fiction novels with HarperCollins: A Time to Live (2023) and The Restless Sea (2018). She lives and works in the Blackdown Hills on the Devon / Somerset border, where she is also learning to lay hedges.
